THE UNITS

Our curriculum is divided into three units, reflecting the requirements listed in Micah 6:8… in reverse order — Walk Humbly, Love Mercy, Act Justly. Weird, we know. BUT we have a purpose for this. We believe that in order to meaningfully contribute to the world, you must first know and love God. Your love for God equips you to love mercy. And through this outpouring of love, you are empowered to act justly.  For further details, please see our Curriculum Outline.

STUFF YOU'LL NEED

Your purchase of True Religion comes with a box of supplies that includes all of the necessities for the program, including supplies for several interactive games! Your supplies will be shipped within 5-7 business days.

Each lesson contains a “Stuff You’ll Need” section that lists – you guessed it! – all the stuff you’ll need for the night. Virtually all the required items will be found either in your supply box or in the provided curriculum media files. However, for practical reasons, the True Religion supply box does not include a few basic items that you may need during the program, including tape, pens, and sticky notes. You likely have these items lying around your facility. We have included a list of these small items in each lesson that needs them.

DREAMTIVITY

Each lesson includes a weekly game or activity, which we have called a “Dreamtivity.” We know, so creative. The purpose of these Dreamtivities is to break the ice and get students engaged. We have intentionally varied the length and type of activities so to provide some variety for you during this program. Most of the Dreamtivities also relate directly to the lesson and provide you were a direct object lesson or analogy.

DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

Most lessons are accompanied by small or large group discussion questions. We believe that the discussion element is really where students are able to ask questions and apply what they have learned.

TAKEAWAYS

One of the most important elements of TDB’s True Religion is the section at the end of each lesson that directs students to write their one-sentence takeaway from the night. We believe this helps students to clearly identify one element of learning, so as to take that into their lives.
